TPO vs PVC

Many home/business owners can easily become confused in the difference in flat roofing products and pricing. Several years ago, a membrane product came on the market call TPO that looks and feels very simular to PVC. It is very attractive due to its substantial lower cost and warranty terms. Simply, TPO does not have the proven history that PVC does or more importantly as IB Roof Systems does since 1978 with roofs still performing flawlessly.

The old addage of you get what you pay for couldn't apply more aptly here. We challenge all potential TPO installers and home/business owners to examine their warranties for limitations, prorations, exclusions, and most importantly maintenance requirements. When you choose the best membrane in the industry, you choose IB Roof Systems and you get a roof that never needs maintenance, has 100% non-prorated coverage, and has a proven history.

While a TPO estimate may seem attractive, keep in mind that most likely you will be replacing it within 10-12 years as happened with the E Center (now the Maverick Center) in Salt Lake City as reported in the 2008 September/October Architectural West magaine.

No TPO installer will tell you how flamable TPO is!   PVC will not support a flame and that is peace of mind when you live on the Oregon Coast during "No Burning" season in the summer.

Demand that your money works for you and not for the roofer!

  1. IB Roof Systems has roofs performing leak free since 1978.
  2. IB Roof Systems warranties do not exclude ponding water.
  3. CPA (Co-polymer Alloy) makes IB Roof Systems more resistant to contaminants that will collect on flat roofs.
  4. Most IB Roof Systems warranties are 100% non- prorated.
  5. IB Roof Systems is the only single-ply membrane with a nationwide residential lifetime warranty.
  6. IB Roof Systems is the only single-ply membrane with a transferable residential warranty.

  11. IB Roof Systems membranes have been performing from Hawaii to Florida with no membrane failures.
  12. IB Roof Systems white membrane reflects most of the UV Rays that strike the roof surface. Heat Gain Comparison illustrates that on an 85-degree day a regular smooth black roof would heat to 172-degrees, while the IB White Membrane only warms to 91-degrees.
  13. IB Roof Systems membrane is non-curing, therefore the membrane will remain weldable for its service life.
  14. IB Roof Systems has the only single-ply roofing membrane in the industry that is designed after the ASTM chemical containment liner standard. ChemGuard is the only single-ply membrane in the industry that has no exclusions in the warranty for chemical contaminants, fatty acids, etc.
  15. IB Roof Systems membrane is UL, FM, ICBO listed.
  16. IB Roof Systems membrane is a Class A Fire Rated Product. (It will not support combustion.)
  17. IB Roof Systems decking membranes meet ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) approved standards.
